Faithful witness bearing fruit across regions

Join us as we look back and reflect on how God is at work through ordinary believers in diverse contexts. Stories from the Middle East and North Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Southeast Asia highlight obedience, prayer, and perseverance. As these accounts are shared securely, they invite prayer and encourage faithful participation in God’s multiplying work.

Rejoice

We rejoice in a new partnership with the organisation The Man in White. Through this collaboration, disciple makers are following up with people who have responded to outreach efforts, strengthening movement through relationships. As campaigns are launched in two challenging Middle East and North Africa countries, this partnership reflects the empowerment of ordinary believers to walk alongside new seekers.

We also rejoice with teams across Latin America who served faithfully in the weeks leading up to Christmas. In Colombia’s remote Guajira desert, leaders travelled to train others, modelling multiplication despite difficult terrain. In another setting, a 3/3 discovery Bible study exploring the story of the man freed from demons in Gadara led an entire household to profess faith, showing the power of discovery learning and obedience-based discipleship. Elsewhere, the Jesus Film was shown, and around twenty people chose to begin following Jesus, an example of simple approaches bearing reproducible fruit.

Give thanks

We give thanks for what God is doing in Cuba. Despite hardship, pressure, and resistance from authorities, there is a deep hunger for God. Reports describe homes filled with worship as believers move from village to village, demonstrating perseverance under pressure and strong local ownership of the movement.

We also give thanks for a clear answer to prayer in the north of England. A mother connected to disciple-making work in Leeds asked for prayer during a complex pregnancy. Her baby was delivered safely, even though the birth came earlier than expected. This testimony highlights prayer as first work, and we ask that these answered prayers would touch the hearts of her family and others in their community.

Intercede

Please intercede for teams in Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, East Asia, and Japan who are choosing to give their time and lives to making disciples. As they enter the new year, pray for strength and wisdom as they invest deeply in people of all ages and backgrounds, from those in positions of influence to those often overlooked. Ask that light would continue to overcome darkness through faithful, relational witness.

Please also continue to pray for teams travelling tirelessly from village to village in India. These workers are visiting six to eight villages each day, and recent feedback confirms that our prayers are appreciated and answered. This work highlights prayer as first work, sustaining those who go and preparing hearts ahead of them.

Persevere in prayer

Continue to pray for the family of a teenage boy in Thailand who died from leukaemia shortly before Christmas. During his illness, the family began following Jesus, and his father has since been baptised. Pray that God’s comfort would sustain them, and that even through grief, many more would encounter Christ through their ongoing testimony of faith.

Closing reflection

This week’s stories remind us that God works through prayerful obedience, often in hidden or difficult places. As believers persist, empower one another, and share life together, movements grow. May these accounts strengthen our commitment to prayer, secure sharing, and faithful multiplication for God’s glory.
