Faith taking root through prayer and obedience
Join us as we look back over the week on 115.1. Stories from South and Southeast Asia highlight baptisms, healing, and growing faith through prayer. As we share these reports they invite us to pray and participate in what God is doing as disciples obey and multiply.
Rejoice
We rejoice with these 6 new believers as they are baptized.
We rejoice in God’s work across India, where new believers in Maharashtra and Murshidabad have been baptized. Their public declaration of faith reflects obedience-based discipleship, as they take clear steps to follow Jesus and begin a new life in Him.
We also celebrate baptisms across Asia, with 16 new believers in the Philippines and 29 in Nepal. These moments mark the beginning of new disciples who are called to share their faith within their families and communities – a sign of multiplication already beginning.
Give thanks
We give thanks for reports of healing in India, where lives are being restored both physically and spiritually. One woman, who had suffered with a severe stomach condition and had lost hope, experienced complete healing after placing her trust in Jesus. Her story is now being shared within her community, demonstrating holistic disciple making as both physical and spiritual needs are met through Christ.
Intercede
Pray for a man in Thailand, a former drug addict who was baptized this week following a remarkable recovery from a serious motorbike accident. His journey began through the faithful prayers of his newly believing mother and her friends. Pray that he would continue to grow in his faith and that his life would point others to Jesus – a testimony of prayer as first work.
Pray also for the upcoming 10 Days of Prayer initiative from May 15 to 24. Ask that disciple makers around the world would engage deeply in prayer and fasting, and that this shared focus would strengthen communities and renew commitment to seeking God together.
Persevere in prayer
Continue to pray for regions where there is currently no disciple-making presence. Ask the Lord to open new doors and to raise up people of peace who are ready to receive the gospel and be equipped to make disciples – trusting in movement through relationships.
Pray also for those who have received training this week. Ask that they would understand and apply what they have learned, and quickly pass it on to others. This reflects the importance of obedience and simplicity in disciple making, where truth is not only learned but lived and shared.
Closing reflection
This week’s stories remind us that God is at work through simple acts of faith – baptisms, prayers, healing, and training. As these accounts are shared, they strengthen the global body to pray, obey, and participate in disciple-making movements. The harvest continues to grow as ordinary believers step out in faith and trust God for multiplication.
