Faith rising across generations and communities
Join us as we look back over the week on 115.1. Stories from North America, South America, and Asia reveal how God is drawing people to Himself across generations and communities. These accounts invite prayer, obedience, and participation in His multiplying work.
Rejoice
We rejoice that God is moving among Gen Z in New York City. Disciple makers were able to pray with four teenagers who expressed a desire to follow Christ. This reflects the principle of movement through relationships, as young people encounter Jesus within their peer networks. Pray that they would grow in obedience, make disciples among their friends, and see a youth-led expression of church emerge.
We also rejoice at continued fruit among the deaf community in Georgia, USA. During an immersive weekend, seven people chose to follow Jesus and were baptized in a nearby lake. This demonstrates empowerment of ordinary believers, as accessible, community-based engagement leads to transformation. Pray that this growing group would become a catalyst for further disciple making.
Give thanks
Give thanks for new life in Ecuador this Easter. A husband and wife wrestled with spiritual questions in the days leading up to Easter. On Thursday they repented and placed their trust in Christ, and by Saturday they were baptized. This is a clear example of obedience-based discipleship, where faith leads quickly to action and public identification with Jesus.
A wonderful Easter Saturday baptism!
Intercede
Pray for a brother in Russia facing legal action due to sharing the gospel on social media. Ask that this pressure would not hinder his witness or the emerging disciple-making work in his city. Pray for courage and for continued perseverance under persecution.
Pray for a family in Argentina following a tragic act of violence left four children without parents. Grandparents have stepped in to care for them, and local believers travelled a long distance to minister to the family. As a result, the family has come to faith and their home is now a gathering place for others. Pray for stability, healing, and for this new expression of church to grow in local ownership.
Persevere in prayer
Continue to pray for believers across India who face increasing opposition as they share their faith, particularly teams of women working in border regions. Their witness reflects perseverance under persecution, and they need wisdom and protection.
Pray also for new disciples in Thailand who were baptized in a non-traditional setting, and for the brother who baptized them after being rejected by his church. This situation highlights both obedience-based discipleship and multiplication, as the gospel reaches new communities despite resistance. Pray for strength and for continued fruit.
Closing reflection
This week’s stories reveal a consistent pattern – God is at work through ordinary people who pray, obey, and share. Across cultures and circumstances, disciples are stepping out in faith, and new believers are responding with obedience.
