Simple obedience multiplying across communities

Join us as we reflect on stories shared by disciple makers serving in communities across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. From baptisms in the United States to gospel storytelling in India and new outreach among young people in Peru, these reports remind us that God continues to work through ordinary believers who pray, obey, and share the good news in simple ways.

Rejoice

We rejoice with seven believers who were baptized this week in the San Fernando Valley in the USA. Their public step of obedience has already opened new opportunities for witness, as one friend who attended has become curious to learn more about Jesus. This story reflects obedience-based discipleship, where new believers immediately become a testimony to others through simple acts of faith.

We also praise God for Spanish-speaking brothers who have begun recording the first episodes of a new podcast focused on disciple making and simple, biblical expressions of church. As preparations continue for its summer release, pray that the content will encourage many to become faithful disciple makers in their own communities. This effort demonstrates multiplication through accessible and reproducible teaching that can spread widely through relationships and local networks.

Give thanks

Give thanks for the boldness of brothers and sisters in India who continue entering local communities and sharing the gospel through storytelling. Many women and children responded this week and chose to follow Jesus. Their approach reflects movement through relationships and the simplicity of sharing Scripture in ways that are understandable and reproducible within the local culture.

We are also thankful that leaders from the north of England and the East Midlands will gather this weekend to share stories and encourage one another. New training will help equip disciple makers with practical tools for ministry and strengthening new groups. This highlights the empowerment of ordinary believers as leaders invest in others who can continue discipling and training within their own communities.

Intercede

Pray for the young people in Peru who recently received training and immediately went out into their communities to share the good news of Jesus with others their own age. We thank God that five people came to faith. Pray for these new disciples as they begin following Jesus, and ask that many teenagers struggling with addiction would find freedom and hope in Him. This is a clear example of multiplication beginning through immediate obedience.

Please also pray for a bold Muslim-background believer in the United States who is using opportunities through coaching academy-level football to invite players and staff to study the Bible. Pray for wisdom, perseverance, and grace as he navigates personal challenges while continuing to share faithfully. His witness reflects holistic disciple making, where everyday relationships and work become places for gospel influence.

Persevere in prayer

Continue praying for work among the deaf community in Florida, especially a new community led by Wilfredo and Carina that is modelling itself on Acts 2:42. The group meets in various homes and is intentionally engaging the deaf community through fellowship, prayer, Scripture, and shared life together. Pray for endurance and continued growth as they build a locally rooted expression of church. This reflects local ownership and simplicity in disciple making.

Please also pray for the 61 local missionaries in the Amazon region of Latin America who received disciple-making training this week. Ask God to strengthen their commitment to reaching others, discipling new believers, and planting simple, reproducible churches throughout remote communities. Their work demonstrates perseverance under pressure and a desire to see multiplication continue through local leadership.

Closing reflection

This week’s stories on 115.1 remind us that God continues to grow His kingdom through faithful obedience, courageous witness, and ordinary believers willing to serve where He has placed them. Whether through baptisms, storytelling, training gatherings, or outreach in overlooked communities, we see disciples making disciples in ways that are simple, reproducible, and deeply relational.
