Seeds of faith taking root across islands and interiors

Join us as we look back over the week on 115.1. Reports from the Pacific, South Asia and the Amazon highlight how God is drawing people to Himself through simple obedience and faithful witness. Each story invites us to pray, respond and keep encouraging disciple-making movements wherever we are.

Rejoice

We rejoice with Lydia, who travelled from Fiji to Samoa to equip women in a remote interior region with disciple-making principles. The training was eagerly received, and eight women chose to follow Jesus. Their response showed the fruit of obedience-based discipleship as the Holy Spirit stirred repentance, forgiveness and new beginnings. Pray for more workers in a region where labourers are few.

Give thanks

Give thanks for a surge of new believers in the Midnapore region of India. Twelve people were baptised last week, and many are hungry to learn from Scripture. Local leaders are seeking to form new fellowships so these new believers can grow as disciples who make disciples. This reflects the importance of local ownership and multiplication as the gospel spreads.

One of many baptisms that happened this week in Mindapore, India.

Intercede

Pray for disciple makers preparing to enter a remote stretch of the Brazilian Amazon, inspired by Revelation 3:8. Among them are communities from around 19 ethnic groups with no access to the gospel. Ask that these isolated peoples would receive the message of Jesus with open hearts, and that those going would rely on prayer as first work as they walk through the “open door” set before them.

Persevere in prayer

Please continue to pray throughout December for brothers and sisters in India engaging in Christmas outreach. Many will travel to new villages to share the Good News. Pray for perseverance, protection and lasting fruit as they practise movement through relationships in each place they enter.

Closing reflection

Across islands, forests and villages, this week’s stories remind us that God is at work in places both near and far. As disciple makers obey, pray and go, new communities of faith are emerging. Through 115.1, these testimonies strengthen global partnership, inspire intercession and point us again to Jesus, who builds His church.
