Seeds of obedience taking root
Join us as we look back over the week on 115.1. Stories from the Americas, Asia, and Europe reflect how God is at work through simple, faithful obedience. As we share these reports, they invite prayer and encourage believers to keep making disciples who multiply.
Rejoice
We rejoice in the Brazilian Amazon, where several Christian organisations worked together to reach a local ethnic group. This spirit of cooperation reflects movement through relationships, strengthening believers and creating wider access for the gospel to be shared among new communities.
For the wonderful work happening in Colombia. We’re rejoicing that a number of people responded to The Jesus Film and started to follow Jesus. Even more wonderful was a 13-year old boy who the day after seeing the film tracked down the team of disciple makers to learn more about following Jesus. After they had shared the 3 circles, he accepted Jesus as his Savior. This highlights obedience-based discipleship, where immediate response to the gospel leads to new life and next steps of faith.
A community watching The Jesus Film.
Give thanks
Give thanks for creative disciple-making approaches in New York, USA, where believers shared their faith on the subway during the Christmas season. Seed was sown widely, including with one man who had previously converted to Islam and is now reconsidering Christianity. This reflects simplicity and movement through relationships in everyday settings.
We are also thankful for a new group in Costa Rica, Central America where a brother has begun meeting with a family eager to obey the Lord. Though small, this beginning shows local ownership and empowerment of ordinary believers, with prayer that obedience will lead to multiplication across the region.
Intercede
Please intercede for believers in Myanmar who continue rebuilding communities affected by last year’s earthquake. As they sacrificially serve and new house churches form, pray that their actions would demonstrate holistic disciple making – meeting physical needs while nurturing spiritual growth.
Pray as well for an upcoming disciple-making trip to Tokyo, Japan, planned for the final weeks of March. Ask God to prepare people of peace even now, reflecting prayer as first work and guiding the team toward relationships ready to receive the gospel.
Persevere in prayer
Please continue praying for a faithful disciple maker in Peru whose health has declined over the Christmas period. She may need extended time away from a highly effective leadership role. Pray for healing, strength, and endurance, reflecting perseverance under pressure.
Also pray for disciple makers across the UK and Europe as they plan for the year ahead. The work can be challenging, but ask the Holy Spirit to renew vision, provide clarity, and sustain faithful obedience.
Closing reflection
This week’s stories remind us that God advances His kingdom through cooperation, courage, and everyday obedience. As believers pray, serve, and respond to the Spirit, movements take root and grow.
