Faithful steps opening new paths
Join us as we look back over the week. Stories shared from Latin America and Asia reflect how God is at work through simple obedience, partnership, and perseverance. As we share these updates, they invite prayer and encourage believers to keep taking faithful steps that lead to multiplication.
Rejoice
We rejoice with our family of disciple makers serving in Peru who undertook a long boat journey along the Huasaga River to visit remote communities. As they listened and learned about the current state of the church, they found much to be encouraged by. They shared the “four commands” and invited believers to respond in obedience, reflecting obedience-based discipleship and discovery learning taking root in local contexts. Pray for continued openness and receptive hearts as these relationships deepen.

Give thanks
We give thanks for growing partnerships with other disciple-making organisations. One example is Lampstands, which is providing accessible, high-quality online resources for those seeking to live out church in simple and reproducible ways. New connections formed online have led to an in-person gathering of 25 people, showing how empowerment of ordinary believers and movement through relationships can bear fruit beyond digital spaces.
Intercede
Please intercede for disciple makers across India as they continue to follow up after Christmas outreaches. Many are seeing lasting fruit, including healing from long-term sickness and freedom from spiritual oppression, and an increasing hunger to know Jesus and follow Him. At the same time, the cost of discipleship remains high, with ongoing persecution. Pray for courage and wisdom for those reaching out, and for new believers to stand firm and grow despite opposition, reflecting perseverance under persecution.
Persevere in prayer
Continue to pray for disciple makers in Lamphun, Thailand, who are seeking God’s guidance to begin work in a nearby juvenile detention center. Their vision includes teaching English and life skills, building relationships with families, and creating a safe and positive pathway for young men re-entering society. Ask the Lord to open the right doors and establish this work with humility and faith, demonstrating holistic disciple making and local ownership.
Closing reflection
These stories remind us that God often works through steady, faithful steps rather than visible milestones. As believers pray first, obey what they hear, and walk alongside others, new pathways for the gospel emerge.
