Faithful prayer bringing new life
Join us as we look back over the week. Be inspired by stories shared by a worldwide network of disciple makers. Reports from India, South America, Southeast Asia, and Central America highlight how prayer, obedience, and courage are advancing God’s kingdom. These stories remind us that through faithful disciple-making, lives are transformed and movements multiply.
Rejoice
We rejoice for answered prayer in India. A young man who had suffered from unexplained fainting attacks for seven years was healed after a nurse involved in disciple making prayed for him for six months. This demonstrates the principle of prayer as first work, showing how persistent intercession can bring tangible healing and spiritual fruit.
We also rejoice with a woman near Kolkata who, after twenty years of marriage without children and facing community ridicule, became pregnant and delivered a healthy baby girl following prayer and support from local meetings. This story highlights obedience-based discipleship, as her participation in faith community gatherings opened the way for God’s blessing.
Give thanks
Give thanks that, despite escalating persecution and restrictions in Jammu and Kashmir, India, local leaders have continued sharing the Gospel. As a result, baptisms have occurred, and new fellowships are forming in homes –evidence of empowerment of ordinary believers.
In South America, feedback from last week’s training in Suriname is already bearing fruit. One disciple maker led a woman to faith using new strategies and courage gained through the training. This shows how holistic disciple-making equips individuals to confidently share Christ and multiply disciples.
Intercede
Pray for those baptized this week in Myanmar, that they would grow strong in faith and in community.
Continue to pray for disciple makers across Southeast Asia. After a period of prayer, fasting, and planning for 2026, a regional team from Thailand was joined by colleagues from Vietnam, the Philippines, and East Asia for additional strategy days. Pray for fresh vision and fruitful disciple-making among these leaders, demonstrating the principle of movement through relationships.
Persevere in prayer
Pray for our brother in Costa Rica, where a new opportunity is emerging. After a training on the beach, he has been invited to train a group of parents and children in simple, reproducible disciple-making methods. People are traveling from across the country to participate, illustrating multiplication in action.
Closing reflection
This week’s stories on 115.1 show that God is at work through prayer, obedience, and empowered local believers. Whether through healing, new life, or emerging disciple-making groups, we see movements growing as disciples pray, obey, and multiply.
