New groups emerging, new ground being prepared

Join us as we look back over the week. Stories from the UK, Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia remind us how God is drawing people to Himself through simple steps of obedience. As we share these reports, they invite us to pray and to participate in the steady multiplication of disciple-making movements.

Rejoice

In Sheffield, UK, a number of new groups are beginning to meet. Some are launch groups, equipping mature believers to become disciple makers. Others are gatherings of people who are actively seeking Jesus. This reflects obedience-based discipleship – believers not only learning but stepping out to make disciples who make disciples. Pray that each group would move closer to Jesus and grow in multiplication from the very beginning.

Rejoice with us for seven new disciples recently baptized in Liverpool, UK. Many were introduced to Jesus by family members and friends who had only just come to faith and been baptized themselves. This is movement through relationships and early multiplication. Pray that these young believers would grow steadily in faith, become rooted in Scripture, and develop into strong and determined disciple makers.

Give thanks

We give thanks for a brother based in Mauritius who travelled to Durban, South Africa, to prayer walk and seek people of peace. As he walked and prayed, doors opened to train two groups with a heart to serve their communities. This is prayer as first work, leading naturally to empowerment of ordinary believers who are ready to engage locally.

In Peru, new work has begun among young children. They are hearing about Jesus in ways they can understand. Pray that they would choose to follow Him and, in time, share what they learn with their parents. This reflects holistic disciple making – sowing the gospel into families and communities through the next generation.

Intercede

In the Apurina villages of Brazil, communities have been watching The Jesus Film for the first time in their own language. Pray that many would respond in faith and begin following Jesus. Ask that those who show interest would be connected into simple, reproducible groups where discovery learning can take root.

Please also pray for the many across the world encountering Jesus through this film – that their first response would lead to lasting obedience and multiplication.

Persevere in prayer

At a Family Center in Thailand, a recent training session on depression was offered to the local community. It was well received, and further sessions have been requested. Pray that these practical expressions of care would lead to deeper relationships and spiritual conversations. This steady presence demonstrates holistic disciple making rooted in real community needs.

At the same center, teams of young people from Denmark and the United States worked alongside the Thai team, learning what it means to be disciple makers. Seventy five people from the local community attended their outreach event. Pray that this shared labor would strengthen local ownership and raise up long-term fruit that continues after teams return home.

Closing reflection

This week’s stories on 115.1 show that movements grow through simple obedience – prayer walking, starting groups, teaching children, serving communities. Whether in cities or villages, among adults or children, God is building His church through ordinary believers who pray, go, and multiply.
