Multiplying faith across nations

This week on 115.1, disciple makers from Asia, Africa, and Europe shared stories of obedience taking root and multiplying. Each post shows how movements grow when believers listen to God’s word and act on it – simply, courageously, and together.

Rejoice

We rejoice at news from Mandalay, Myanmar, where three people who had studied Scripture for months decided to follow Jesus and be baptised. Their decision shows that understanding becomes transformation when disciples obey.

 Mandalay in Myanmar

In Australia, James and his family began a 3/3 group earlier this year. After honest conversations about life and faith, James chose baptism in a local river – proof that discovery and obedience go hand in hand.

On the island of Mauritius, members of the deaf community recently came to faith and were baptised in the sea. Their story reminds us that the gospel is accessible to all and that disciple making multiplies through every culture and community.

Finally, in Odisha, India, a local disciple maker shared the hope of Jesus with a man trapped in alcoholism. God’s power brought freedom, restoring him to his family and community. This is faith expressed through compassionate action – disciples reaching the lost with both words and love.

Give thanks

Give thanks for our Thai team who secured a new mission hub in a nearby unreached province. The “Family Development Centre,” complete with open space for sport and gatherings, will host community and sports events, as well as disciple-making training. It’s a simple tool that enables believers to train, equip and send out disciples from where they live.

We’re thankful too for training among Ukrainians in London, led by a Danish disciple maker. Their connections across borders could spark fresh growth in war-torn regions, showing that movements thrive when disciples equip one another wherever God places them.

And in Kolkata, India, new bicycles are helping disciple makers travel further and faster – small, practical steps that make multiplication possible.

Intercede

Pray for a young woman in Leeds, UK, who encountered 3/3 at an addiction-recovery meeting and now wants to disciple others. Ask that her desire becomes steady obedience and that she finds encouragement and support around her.

Pray also for ongoing trainings worldwide – that every new gathering stays focused on obeying Jesus and passing on what is learned.

Persevere in prayer

In Mae Chaem, Thailand, heavy floods have destroyed rice harvests and livelihoods. Pray that in loss, people seek lasting hope in Christ and that local believers offer both comfort and truth.

In Assam, India, persecution followed the formation of a new fellowship. One family was expelled from their village. Ask God to sustain them and to use their witness to draw others to Himself. Their courage shows how the Kingdom advances through perseverance.

Closing reflection

The stories shared on 115.1 this week reveal the heartbeat of disciple-making movements: ordinary people obeying Jesus, sharing life, and seeing faith multiply. As we rejoice, give thanks, and pray, we join a global community learning that simple obedience still changes the world.
