How to enable push notifications for a specific channel
To help you stay updated on posts to one particular channel (or more, if you like!) you can enable push notifications for a specific channel.
How do I enable these push notifications?
To ensure that you get a notification each time a post is shared to a specific channel, follow these simple steps:
Open the channels list: Tap on the “#” symbol located in the page footer navigation. This will bring up a list of all the channels you’re a member of.
Choose your channel: Scroll through the list and tap on the channel name that you want to receive notifications for.
Find the bell icon: On the channel page, look to the right-hand side of the channel title. You’ll see a small gray bell icon.
Enable notifications: Tap on the gray bell icon. A prompt will appear asking if you want to receive a push notification each time a new post is shared in the channel. Tap “Yes.”
What happens when I enable notifications?
Once you have enabled notifications by following the steps above, the bell icon next to the channel title will change from grey to blue. This indicates that you’ve successfully enabled push notifications so that each time a new post is shared to this channel you’ll be notified.
How do I disable push notifications for a specific channel?
If you decide that you no longer want to receive these notifications for a specific channel, here’s how to disable them:
Navigate to the channel: As above, go to the channel for which you want to disable notifications.
Locate the blue bell icon: This blue bell indicates that you currently have notifications enabled for this channel.
Toggle notifications off: Tap on the blue bell icon. This will turn off push notifications for new posts to that specific channel and the bell will again be gray.

I followed the steps but don’t see the bell icon. What should I do?
If you can’t find the bell icon next to the channel title, please ensure that you’re using a supported device and that your app is updated to the latest version.
